ABOUT ME

I created Amiology when I gained my Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Master NLP practitioners qualification from the well known Regent Parks University, London.
I had the wonderful opportunity to study from the founder of Quest institute, Trevor Silvester.

This is how I found myself in Trevor’s class..
In 2009-2010, I was in my late 20’s, life was going great! I had just met a fabulous guy and then one afternoon, I found a tick attached to me.
I didn’t know it then but my life was about to change.
It was another 9 months before I tested positive for Lyme disease and by then I was already in one of my biggest challenges.

Part of my experience with Lyme disease was that I felt like I wasn’t being heard and understood. I was met with a lot of resistance – “Lyme disease isn’t in the UK. Where have you been on holiday?” And judgement from others – “She doesn’t look ill, she must be depressed and lazy” and yet, Lyme is more common than what people are led to believe.

At the worst of my Lyme disease journey, my physical strength was rock bottom, I was the weakest I’ve ever been, I couldn’t make a cup of tea or walk a few feet without stopping, my independency and cognitive capabilities were being impacted and having to ask for more help, I wasn’t ready but I had no choice, I had to admit I needed more help.

I remember making a deal with myself and God, if anyone was going to break me, it would be myself and only through getting better and I wasn’t about to give up! There were times when I wanted to be put out of my misery, the constant fatigue and chronic pain wears you down but Hope wouldn’t let me give in. Instead hope gave me strength, gave me courage and kept me going. I started to make decisions that felt right for me and the right people came into my life. The best support workers were introduced, their patience and understanding began to lay the foundations for my recovery, Harry – the best personal trainer I could have ever wished for became available, (after several failed attempts at other gyms). With his help and after quite a few sessions, I decided to ditch the crutches and slowly began to walk freely again. From there I looked for more challenges. I stopped taking lifts and started to take the stairs. Small wins lead to bigger ones. I saw chiropractors, nutritionists, had hyperbaric treatment and more. I gave up smoking via hypnosis and it only took two sessions for me to quit!

The reason for sharing part of my story is because I know change isn’t easy, I know life can seem lonely when others don’t understand.
I never thought I would be grateful to something which was once the worst part of my life and yet without it, I wouldn’t know how strong I am, how strong we all are!

We are blessed with our very own piece of genius kit, other wise known as our body.  We take it for granted without realising what we are capable of. Alot of the time, we impose limitations on ourself without a second thought and then our minds & body will follow.

I achieved goals that I didn’t think were possible, ie, ditching the crutches, doing Palace to Palace bike ride & The Nuts Challenge, it took me weeks to recovery but it was worth it! I got back into employment and attended university courses. Since then, I have continued with being attuned to Reiki Level 1 & 2, learning about Past Live Regression and touching on The Akashic Records. There is still more I want to learn and share with you and even more I want to create!

Once upon a time dreams were lost and replaced with a crying wish to see another day. Now there are books to be lost in, dreams to create and goals to achieve.

I will always encourage you to never be afraid of stepping forward for yourself.
